DHS Pandemic Planning Needs Better Oversight, Training, and Execution

We determined that overall; the Department cannot be assured that its preparedness plans can be executed effectively during a pandemic event.  As a result, the eight components we reviewed may not be fully prepared to continue mission essential functions during a pandemic event.  The Department concurred with all seven recommendations and has initiated corrective actions
